Behind Go Travel Planet
I am an independent travel writer and professional photographer, but more than that, this is my lifestyle. For over two decades, I haven’t just explored the world, I have lived in it. By choosing to spend years rooted inside different cultures, I don’t just visit destinations; I experience their true rhythms from the inside out.
That journey has never stopped. Travel became my true education. I immersed myself in foreign languages, deeply explored local food cultures, and absorbed the unique rhythms of distinct communities. With every new place, conversation, and culinary tradition, I realized a beautiful truth: the more I learned, the more I needed to know.
My perspective on travel is deeply shaped by my background as a former Italian chef and restaurant owner. Years spent inside many kitchens and managing my own restaurant taught me that true hospitality isn’t manufactured by corporate luxury, it is born from an honest connection to the soil, the kitchen, and the people gathered around the table. Today, I bring that same culinary eye and respect for raw heritage to every independent wine estate and boutique space I uncover.
I don’t carry a single flag; I carry many flags. I don’t belong to just one culture; I treat every single global experience as a vital new piece of Lego, adding it to my own identity and way of being.
Today, that vision is actively alive in my work behind the lens, including my ongoing collaborations as a commercial photographer capturing immersive journeys for premium tour operators in the north of Portugal.
This is a non-stop process of human evolution, an endless pursuit to never stop learning, absorbing, and growing. Go Travel Planet is the culmination of that lifelong collection, acting as my digital lookbook where I share these honest experience-driven narratives and original photography.
One last thought: You don’t need to live somewhere for years to experience slow travel. If you only have a week, that’s wonderful! Just don’t rush through five cities in seven days, that is the fast food of traveling. Slowing down simply means taking it easy. Sit at a local table, share a glass of wine, and talk to people.
